We know you are loving these final project reveals as much as we are and this one is no exception! It is a beautiful space with some really unique features that create a room with individuality making it special to the rest of the home. Our client hired us to do multiple rooms throughout the home, which we will be sharing in a future post, but this bonus room is a stand-alone blog worthy space!

This family of four (mom, dad and two boys) was ready to take their bonus room to a new level. The kids used the space for games and playing with friends, but it needed some re-working to make it more functional for everyone. The couple met in college and had quite a bit of alma mater memorabilia they wanted displayed, so we went ahead and created a custom built-in wall to house the television, sound equipment, gaming systems with plenty of shelving for memorabilia. Here is a look at the built-in elevation and the room floor plan:

Final Project Reveal

This was the layout we decided would be most functional for television watching and would utilize the “dead space” for a game table.

We had our incredible cabinet maker install these builtins and check out how amazing they turned out.

This wet bar area was added to house beverages and glasses, and we included a spot for a built in drink fridge as well.

As you can imagine, the sofa needed to be kid friendly! With two boys, and a multitude of friends using the space for movie watching and game playing, we ordered a heavy duty Crypton upholstered Fairfield Chair sectional. This beauty is even more incredible in person! The storage ottoman was custom piece we had made in our Tic Tac Toe Navy fabric. The end tables were from Universal Furniture and were the perfect size to cap the sectional ends.

This wood wall feature was one of the most exciting parts of the project and just the right amount of character the room needed to make it unique to the rest of the home. We used Home Depots Timeline brand in distressed gray to cover the wall.

This game nook was the perfect addition to the space. The Hooker Furniture table was surrounded by Stanley side chairs and gave the room a modern touch! We surrounded the space with framed alma mater memorabilia and added a Robert Abbey pendant for additional light.

Since our final install, the family has utilized the space to it’s fullest and I promise this summer it will be well loved by those boys, neighbors, and friends! If you are looking to shop the room you can find that HERE.
